Video Software

With video capabilities built into all of the Nikon DSLRs these days, sometimes there are additional video tools that may make your life a little better. This page describes some of those.

  • Sequence (Macintosh) — A US$35 product that assembles stills into time-lapse sequences. The reason why you'd want a standalone product like this instead of using the in-camera support is multiple: de-flickering, 4K support, ability to time-lapse raw files, and more.
  • Panolapse (Windows/Macintosh) — If you're shooting intervals with a camera that takes larger than 2mp images, this free (US$100 pro) program allows you to pan, zoom, deflicker, and defish your data as you create a time-lapse video (free version restricted to 720P.
