Bought my D810 the first day, it was recalled, sent it in... On returning it to me either UPS or Nikon lost it, almost certainly UPS.
Now the real reason for writing, while UPS was stonewalling (investigations take time, driver isn't avail to question, we'll get back to you in 8 work days or less, etc.) as soon as I notified Nikon they stepped up right away. Two days after updating support that there was a problem they had a new D810 in my hands (even Saturday delivered) long before any investigation is complete.
Amazing response from a company that often gets panned in support department. Kudos and thank you to them. (bm)
