Thom's Mini Review: My choice for a fast mid-range DX lens most of the time, as it's smaller and lighter than the Nikkor 17-55mm, plus it has optical stabilization. Not internal focusing, though, which some may find problematic. Overall very sharp in the center when wide open, and even the edges at the 50mm end. Note there are some focus compatibility issue reports with some recent Nikon DSLRs (e.g. some D7xxx models).
