Thom's Mini Review: Good news: very good optically. Vignetting is only moderate wide open and very rapidly improves to ignorable. I suppose this is Nikon's idea of "DX-ing a staple" (the 105mm Micro-Nikkor), but Tamron's 60mm and 90mm remain better choices for those seeking economy macro, I think. That said, either this lens or something like it should be in every DX bag.
